Dr. Robert Shapiro is an accomplished, board-certified urologist and an expert in all aspects of urological surgery. His focus is on a minimally-invasive approach, including extensive experience in robotic surgery. He specializes in urologic cancer surgery, kidney stone disease, female urology/incontinence, prostate enlargement and prostate cancer. He conducts robotic surgery of the kidney, prostate, and bladder and simple outpatient office procedures for benign prostate obstruction, including Rezum and Urolift. Dr. Shapiro also performs no-scalpel vasectomy and microsurgical vasectomy reversal.

Dr. Shapiro is originally from the Detroit area of Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan for both his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and Michigan Medical School for his Doctorate in Medicine. He completed his residency in Seattle, at the University of Washington, one of the premier urology training programs in the country. He was previously in practice in Scottsdale, Arizona before moving to California. He is married, with three grown children.
